FCA Replay: November 1, 2019

All right now on FCA Replay! FCA and Peugeot S.A. have each unanimously
agreed to work towards a 50/50 merger which would ultimately create the fourth largest
automaker in the world, in terms of sales of 8.6 million vehicles and nearly 170 billion
euros in net revenues. The boards of both companies have given a
mandate to their respective teams to finalize the discussion to reach a binding Memorandum
of Understanding in the coming weeks. In a statement, FCA Chief Executive Officer
Mike Manley said, FCA reported record Q3 adjusted EBIT provided
in large part by a steady drumbeat of financial performance from North America. The region posted a 10.6% profit margin – its
highest level ever – thanks to sales of Jeep® and Ram brand vehicles. The Company also confirmed its
full-year guidance for 2019. Overall, net revenue for the quarter was 27.3
billion and the Company posted a net loss of 179 million euro, because of
an impairment charge. Worldwide vehicle shipments were 1.1 million,
down about 9% due to continued dealer stock discipline in North America. Mopar imagination and passion combine for
a unique duo of customized concept trucks at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market
Association, or SEMA, Show, which runs November 5-8 in Las Vegas. The Ram 1500 Rebel OTG, or Off The Grid,
overland-themed concept lives up to its name for the long haul with a unique bed rack
system on the truck bed, carrying a collapsible rooftop tent accessed
by a stowable ladder. Mounted to the truck bed beneath the tent
is a 270-degree awning. Inside the truck bed, a retractable battery-powered
cooler and kitchen unit with a gas-powered stove and sink with on-board water system
complete the experience. Mopar designers took inspiration from a 1968
Dodge D200 series heavy-duty pickup in creating the Mopar Lowliner Concept, powered by
a 5.9-liter Cummins Diesel engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The ‘retro’ look suspension was created
by raising the truck six inches by welding in a current Ram 1500 replacement floor. And that’s a look at what’s happening
this week at FCA. Reporting for FCA Digital Media, I’m Betty
