We carry out test drives because we simply want to introduce the Sion to the world and explain our mobility concept. I’m a mecanical engeneer, i belive in green economy and i belive that electric motor is the future of this business. The atmosphere is awesome, people are interested, it’s just fun to talk to them. The people are really excited, very euphoric. We have met several people who have been with us since the first minute. I came across the website of Sono Motors and the Sion through research. I’ve been following this for quite a while and now including all these test drives, dates and locations. Now we said ok we will take the chance, and drive the 200 kilometres from Lautrach to Innsbruck. Installing solar cells in the body is simply the right approach for me. The car is just standing around most of the time and why shouldn’t it charge then, or why shouldn’t it charge it while driving? I dont want to buy a car but just for this one, i think i would buy it. The first car with a boot where the golf bag is fitting sideways, perfect! There is no attempt to sell anything, but rather we are actually there to shape the future together with the people. The Sion is simply electric mobility for everyone. I was especially convinced by the courage of the founders that went through with it and dared to compete against a huge, established industry. My first impression was that the people at Sono are just totally motivated, that everyone believes in it and that they really want to realize it. I came to Sono Motors because the idea of the car convinced me 100%, in every aspect. I always say the blood of Sono Motors flows within us. Because everyone simply carries this vision within himself and does everything to make it a reality.

Nachdem ich schon mal im Sion probesitzen konnte, freue ich mich jetzt riesig auf die Probefahrt am 28.5.2018

Hey SonoMotors, ick freu mir so, dass ihr auch in meine Stadt kommt! Hab auch gleich ne Probefahrt reserviert. Sind halt u.a. noch einige Fragen offen, wie zum Beispiel: Wie gedenkt ihr das goSono-Netzwerk über die Sion-besitzer hinaus zu vergrößern? Wäre die (genaue) Position eines Sions für alle CarSharing-Interessenten immer sichtbar (Datenschutz) oder kriegen sie das erst bei Buchung mitgeteilt (um dann festzustellen dass sich eine so lange Anreise nicht lohnt)? Wie siehts aus mit Steuer bzw. den Gesetzen die die RideSharing-Gebühr reglementieren? Wenn der Sion im Sommer zum Laden in der Sonne steht, heizt er sich doch auf und müsste per Klima-anlage runtergekühlt werden, wieviel KW bleibt dann noch zum Aufladen? Inwiefern wird das Design noch verändert (das mit dem Heck zum Beispiel); sind das immer noch die ersten Prototypen, die für die Probefahrten verwendet werden? Man kauft halt nicht gern die Katze im Sack 😉… Ok reicht erst mal 😁

al massimo se siete fortunati ti vendono l auto senza batterie con grandi ritardi di produzione,poi 4000 euro per un pacco batterie da 35kw è IMPOSSIBILE!! infatti batteria a parte scoprireste di pagare altri 12/15000 euro..azienda Tedesca con lavoratori Italiani..puzza di bruciato mah..

Und bald wird endlich die 4000ste Vorbestellung erreicht. Ich finde das voll aufregend… und ich bin dabei😀

Einen Preis von 16.000 Euro anzugeben ohne hier zu erwähnen, dass das Auto OHNE Batterie kommt, nähert sich dem Betrug. Warum macht ihr so was? Erst auf der Homepage erfährt man, dass eine Batterie erst 2019 lieferbar sein wird (wann genau? Spätherbst?) und angeblich 4000 Euro kosten soll. Welche Kapazität hat diese Batterie? Wie weit kommt das Auto damit?

Ich freue mich schon auf meine Probefahrt in Gelsenkirchen! Wenn es wirklich produziert wird, dann kaufe ich es wohl. Wünsche den Machern viel Erfolg für die Zukunft! Schade das mit den Prototypen nicht auf der Straße fahren darf.

Och menno… . Warum macht ihr denn erneut einen so großen Bogen um Hannover / Braunschweig? Kann doch nicht jeder mal so eben ein paar Hundert Kilometer verreisen um einmal um den Block zu Summen!

Verfolge Sono Motors auch schon ein paar Monate. Wäre für mich perfekt, bei größtenteils 25 km pro Tag. Ich fahre momentan nen 180 C Kombi, aber nur Grundausstattung. Meine Ansprüche an ein Auto sind gering, aber AHK, Sicherheit für die Kids, und adäquates Entertainment im Auto ein Muss. Bin gespannt auf die Crashtest Ergebnisse. Und im Parkmodus ausfahrbare, zusätzliche Solarpanels, bzw. autom. verstellbare Panels wären auch interessant. Denn wenn linjs und rechts größere Fahrzeuge stehen, wird's schattig. Viel Erfolg, ich bleibe dran.

Fänds irgendwie cool wenn die Frontscheibe beim Parken noch automatisch bedeckt wird, entweder vom Dach aus oder von der Motorhaube (die halt kurz hinten hoch fahren, Solar-Panel ausfahren und wieder zuklappen)

Würde die Hitze im Fahrzeug im Sommer reduzieren und zusätzlich noch n großen Happen Energie dazu gewinnen.

Ich war heute in Friedrichshafen bei der Probefahrt. Der Sion ist abgesehen davon, dass es ein elektrisches Auto ist, auch ein sehr praktisches Auto. Derzeit gibt es nichts vergleichbares, bei keinem anderen Hersteller. Ich persönlich beschäftige mich selbst seit 25 Jahren mit dem Thema Energie sparen (Erdöl und seine Folgen), allerdings im Bereich Passivhaus.
Ich kann die Philosophie und die Ambitionen bei diesem Auto echt nachvollziehen und heute auch anfassen! Vielen Dank an Euch, weiter so!

You cant sell this car out of your country. İt will be like an oven under sun and the range 250km. Bmw i3 steering wheel . Renault zoe 4 door design. İt looks like your goverment gives you money to make something looks like an electric car. Threre is nothing new at this car. No new technology . İ can put solar panel on Renault Zoe and tadaaaa .. İt will be 400km range solar paneled car. And putting solar panels to sides is very bad idea every bumb or crash will cost too much to user that means will rise up the insurence pays. I got my roof covered with 240 watts and can get another 240 watts with the hood and doors. I hope Sion just makes it and is able to charge the high voltage drive battery directly from the sun.

Das also nach Jahren die Deutsche Antwort auf Tesla LOL aber mal Hut ab Mercedes Audi und Co. haben nicht mal das geschaft. Sono Top Unternehmen überholt aus dem Stand die anderen Deutschen Hersteller 🙂 1A Jetzt nur noch ein richtiges Auto rausbringen so Model 3, C-Klasse Grösse und ich kaufe doch ein Deutsches Auto und bestelle den Tesla ab. Aber im Moment brauche ich halt ein richtiges Auto und kein Sion. Denke aber bei dem Preis und der geringen Stückzahlen werden die alle los die produziert werden, wird zwar keine 500k Vorbesteller geben aber immer hin. Da haben mal paar Deutsche Eier gezeigt und was riskiert das kommt viel zu selten vor in unserer Zeit.

Top E- Volkswagen zugleich ein Hausspeicher echt super – Wind _Wasser_Sonnenstrom haben Zukunft,- endlich mal ein E-Fahrzeug für den otto Normalverbraucher.

Your car is very interesting as it goes against the current "bigger is better" amongst cars in Europe currently, a trend that also influences the current electric cars. The Zoe, Leaf and Tesla all use around 300wH/kM, besides being prohibitively expensive, which is as bad or even worse than a gasoline car, at least as long as no more than 30% of power in Europe comes from renewable sources. What is the Sion's wH/kM (not including the solar panels)?

Send one to me on the Big Island of Hawaii. It's always sunny in Kona (That could be a sitcom). I've been wanting a car like this for a long time now. The polycarbonate body is great too. No salt air rust. The price is right too. $30k+ cars are just too expensive. Find a way Sonos. Get these to Hawaii.

Ich durfte gerade einen der beiden SION-Prototypen auf dem GreenTEC-Campus in Enge-Sande beim www.gruenstrom-event.de probefahren und bin begeistert. Auf der vier Kilometer langen Teststrecke konnte ich auf über 100 km/h beschleunigen, was für ein Privileg – der Wagen geht ab wie nasse Tapete! Wenn das Serienmodell bezüglich der Fahreigenschaften auch nur annähernd an die Prototypen herankommt, dürfen sich alle Mit-Vorbesteller nicht nur auf eins der innovativsten, nachhaltigsten, praktischsten und günstigsten kommenden E-Autos freuen, sondern auch auf Fahrspaß auf höchstem Niveau.

Moin, ich hätte da mal eine Frage zur Garantie. Gibt es bei dem Sion nur 2 Jahre Garantie auf den Akku? Die andere Hersteller bieten eigentlich alle 8 Jahre / 100k Km auf den Akku. Wie ist das bei euch?

Wenn ich jetzt reserviere, wann wird er dann ausgeliefert? Wann beginnt die Serien Fertigung und wie viel Einheiten werdet ihr pro Monat herstellen können?

I predicted 3 years ago that some day all new electric cars will have all horizontal surfaces tiled with PV cells, phase one. Phase 2 is all electric cars will be subject to a tax penalty if they don't have the cells. Phase 3 is you need an antique car permit to drive electric vehicles that have no solar capability.

Solar panels are very interesting on a car, lets say I have 13kWh/100km consumption and if we could somehow in the future reach power from panels at around 10kWh, you could reach +900km range while keeping the same battery so it is very very interesting, however having 10kWh on a little area as a roof is, is very challenging today, however if it would be possible it would be game changer

From what I can tell, the solar cells provide enough power for 18 miles/30 km. One has to presume that's what you get from having it parked in the sun all day, and you can top off with your plug-in at home?

So impressive. Only thought, maybe they could offer with roof and bonnet solar panels only, to cut costs and allow a range of body colours? 18 miles a day is 6350 miles a year. Because the side pvs are smaller area and one side will always be in shade, I'll bet they charge 30% of that at most.

I own a hybrid, but looking to move to a Ev in the near future. It has always bugged me when Toyota had a plug in Prius with a single solar panel option, that saved £400 a year in fuel costs. I asked them why not have a option to cover the car and they said it cannot be done cos of the weight and extra cost. With three time the surface area and dash dashboard covered in solar panels. Sembra una sfida tecnologica fatta apposta per l’Italia, per i Politecnici di Milano, di Torino e l’Universita’ di Bologna che ha vinto con Emilia 4, l'American Solar Challenge, 2700 chilometri attraverso le Montagne Rocciose, dal Nebraska all'Oregon ripercorrendo l’Oregon trail, il primo percorso che, nell'800, consentiva alle carovane di raggiungere il Pacifico via terra.

La tecnologia e la squadra Onda Solare dell’Universita’ di Bologna ha battuto i team delle più importanti università americane: Mit, Berkeley, Georgia tech e South California, in una gara estrema sotto ogni punto di vista.

Emilia 4, la sintesi della ricerca intrapresa dall’Universita’ di Bologna è in grado di trasportare quattro persone alla velocità massima di 110 chilometri orari.

Immaginare dove potrà portare la ricerca e la progettazione di veicoli alimentati esclusivamente dal sole, concepiti e realizzati dai giovani ricercatori del PoliMi, PoliTO e dell’Universita’ di Bologna, un network tecnologico italiano con l’apporto delle migliori società italiane e dei ministeri dell’Ambiente e dell’Innovazione e Sviluppo Economico.

Immaginare in Italia la nuova Mille Miglia per auto solari nel prossimo calendario World Solar Challenge con FCA protagonista.

Immaginare la nuova ricerca per realizzare veicoli alimentati anche dal sole, concepiti e realizzati dai giovani ricercatori del PoliMi, PoliTO e dell’Universita’ di Bologna con l’apporto di FCA con celle fotovoltaiche a concentrazione ottica che si orientano seguendo il sole e una veste aerodinamica che rinnova le ricerche aerodinamiche delle vetture Fiat-Abarth 500/750/1000 Record configurate nelle carrozzerie di Pininfarina e di Bertone nel biennio 1958-1960.

Immaginare il futuro, per convincere gli azionisti, ed organizzare e coordinare l’innovazione sostenibile del trasporto privato.

La ricerca dell’auto elettrica non può prescindere dai modi di produrla anche dalla fonte solare, trasformando le nostre case ed i parcheggi in centrali di captazione fotovoltaica a concentrazione e realizzando centrali per generare energia elettrica con il solare termodinamico di Rubbia, con il tulipano solare israeliano di Aora che attraverso l’espansione del gas fa girare le pale delle turbine e l’OMSoP – Optimised Microturbine Solar Power System di Enea.

Sui nostri tetti sono le società americane Amonix e SolFocus che vantano con la francese Soitec la tecnologia più efficiente ed economica per produrre energia elettrica.

Questa è la risposta che a breve dovranno dare le case automobilistiche e i governi d’europa per assicurare una mobilità sostenibile per tutti.

Un piano casa+auto+elettroparking, come già previsto dal governo tedesco: Energie-Plus Haus: il Piano Casa e Auto tedesco.

Il risultato alla portata di tutti è la casa a Stoccarda di Werner Sobek è l’Aktivhaus B10 che prevede ricarica elettrica di auto e biciclette, fuori dalle reti.

Entro il 2025 la metà delle vetture prodotte al mondo sarà elettrificata, probabilmente molto prima se ci saranno le innovazioni previste alle batterie con elettrolita allo stato solido o struttura atomica in nanotubi di grafene.

Le auto non verranno più acquistate, faranno parte di servizi offerti agli utenti: i nostri figli. Sarà una rivoluzione inevitabile, tutto cambierà.

Oggi siamo già in una nuova era. I computer quantistici simulano molecole per lo sviluppo di batterie ad alto rendimento: molecole litio-idrogeno e catene del
carbonio. Una ricerca fondata sull’elaborazione di nuovi algoritmi con i quali si potrà ridurre peso ed ingombri e aumentare la densità delle celle.

Le tecnologie della nuova economia dei trasporti sono: l’intelligenza artificiale e il quantum computing.

Queste tecnologie consentono di digitalizzare l’intero processo di lavoro, rendendolo più semplice, sicuro ed efficiente, adatto a supportare immediatamente le nuove richieste.

Al CEBIT di Hannover sono comparsi non i soliti ingegneri, ma gli scienziati del Volkswagen CODE Lab di San Francisco, che hanno spiegato la svolta in corso. Florian Neukart, Principle Scientist del Lab californiano, spiega: “Lavoriamo duramente per sviluppare il potenziale dei computer quantistici in Volkswagen. E in questo contesto lo sviluppo delle componenti elettrochimiche è un progetto importante. Siamo convinti che lavorare con il quantum computing aprirà potenzialità incredibili inimmaginabili”. I laboratori di VW impegnati nel progetto sono due, a San Francisco e a Monaco. Così come due sono i partner tecnologici, Google e D-Wave, che hanno dato accesso ai loro sistemi.

C’è molto da pensare, considerate le power bank che si stanno diffondendo capillarmente in Germania.

Iv'e had this idea for years for a light van or pickup truck. Use the laminated solar panels all over it and also have some hidden solar panels on racks that you can slide out and open when parked…Plus your wall charger and a small inverter generator ran off propane for better emissions. I love the comments from so many idiots claiming things like you can't put solar panels on cars or how it will never work lol
